Description

A fun and festive take on classic deviled eggs for Valentine’s Day.


Ingrédients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red food coloring
  • Chopped chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs and let them cool.
  2. Peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
  4. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks.
  5. Mash and mix until smooth.
  6. Divide the yolk mixture in half.
  7. Add red food coloring to one half and mix well.
  8. Fill half of the egg whites with the red yolk mixture and the other half with the plain mixture.
  9. Garnish with chopped chives.
  10. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of food coloring for desired shade.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
  • Use fresh eggs for easier peeling.
