Ingrédients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Red food coloring
  • 2 cups frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  8. Add red food coloring to achieve desired color.
  9. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter.
  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before frosting.
  12. Decorate with frosting and heart-shaped sprinkles.
