A fun and creative way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with gingerbread houses.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 cups royal icing
- Assorted candies for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add egg and molasses to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes for the house.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until firm. Let cool.
- Assemble the gingerbread house with royal icing.
- Decorate with assorted candies.

- Ensure the gingerbread is completely cool before assembling.
- You can make extra icing for repairs.
