  • pork belly – 500 grams
  • banana leaves – for wrapping
  • onions – 2, chopped
  • salt – to taste
  • pepper – to taste
  • soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • sugar – 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Soak sticky rice and mung beans overnight.
  2. Cook mung beans until soft, then mash.
  3. Season pork belly with salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sugar.
  4. Prepare banana leaves for wrapping.
  5. Layer sticky rice, mung beans, and pork in the banana leaves.
  6. Wrap tightly and secure with kitchen twine.
  7. Steam for 4-6 hours until cooked through.
  8. Let it cool before slicing.
